Sardara SinghSardara Singh who is popularly known as Sardar Singh is a professional hockey player and plays the center half position. He is the current captain of the Indian national team. Sardar became the youngest player to captain the Indian team when he led the team at 2008 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.
He made his debut for India in the junior team during India's 2003-04 tour of Poland. He made his senior debut against Pakistan in the year 2006. He also plays for his home state Haryana. In addition to this Sardar Singh also played for Chandigarh Dynamos in the inaugural season of the Premier Hockey League in 2005. He played for Hyderabad Sultans in the next three seasons and captained the side since 2008. Sardar Singh became the highest-paid marquee player at the inaugural Hokey India League auctions at Delhi. He captains the Delhi team – Delhi Waveriders.
Selja KumariSelja Kumari is a member of the 15th Lok Sabha of India. She is an integral member of the Indian National Congress. She was the cabinet minister and held the position of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in the United Progressive Alliance Government during the 15th Lok Sabha. She resigned in January 2014.
She began her career in Mahila Congress and became its president in 1990. One of the senior most Dalit leaders within the Congress party, she was elected to the 10th Lok Sabha in 1991 from Sirsa in Haryana.
Dr. Ajay Singh ChautalaDr. Ajay Singh Chautala is a notable Indian politician from Indian National Lok Dal party. He was a former member of both the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha and represented Haryana. He did his B.A from Kurukshetra University, M.A ((Public Administration) and LL.B. from Rajasthan University. Currently he is serving as an MLA in Haryana assembly and represents Dabwali constituency.
He is the son of Om Prakash Chautala, the former chief minister of Haryana and the grandson of Chaudhari Devi Lal. Dr. Ajay’s two sons – Dushyant Chautala and Digvijay Chautala are also making their presence felt in the political scenario.
